To avoid taxes. To watch up close his money grow by quantum leaps. Billions and billions of reasons.

Cheney was a former member of the board of Halliburton. He DOES continue to enjoy ties with that company--he never placed his stock in a trust fund--as most US presidents do to avoid any appearance of favoritism.

Cheney did not, however, move Halliburton to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. He no longer has that authority.

Halliburton moved their headquarters both to avoid US taxes and to protect their documentation of overcharges and fictitious billing from US subpoena. Very nice way to repay the nation that provided them billions in no bid cost plus contracts and all without congressional oversight.

Maybe the move was merely a prelude to shifting the now non-Executive Branch office of the vice president off shore. Everyone and everything touched by this guy follows one rule. Avoid accountability, damn it.

Cheney does not run Haliburton, or ever owned Haliburton.

Haliburton decided to move.... Cheney had nothing to do with it.
