I am 13 years old and i just bought a padded bra without telling my mum because she thinks they are bad. i dont know why. i have never worn them before, so i was wondering if there's anything wrong with wearing one, are there any medical risks and does it stop your boobs from growing?

There is no "medical" reason not to wear the padded bra. I understand your Mom's view of them being "bad". She probably wants you to be happy with yourself just as you are instead of pretending to be something you aren't. Believe me big boobs are not all the glam and glitz they get. And if that 38B is your natural size it isn't like you have peanuts anyway.

No way does a padded bra stop your breast growing. When I was your age I would have been tickled pink to be the size you are. Alot of women wear padded bras to push their boobs up and help keep them from sagging. Wear what you are happy with but stay away from underwires.

No, padded bras do not stop your boobs from growing. They just make it seem fuller. That is probably why your mum is uneasy with you wearing one, because you will get a lot of attention from males at such a young age.

Padded bras don't do any harm they feel better any way. My mom bought me some when I was 11 i'm 12 now and i'm a 34 A so I guess I got Lucky but my nipples showed throught my shirt with sports bras.

There is nothing wrong with padded bras other than they make you boobs look nicer. Your mom is probibly against them because they will attract the boys more. :) dont worry your boobs can grow untill you 21. So theres hope for all of us :)

No... but you don't want to draw attention to your chest to get a guy, because then they will like you for your body and not for you. If your a 38b there is no reason you should need to where one.. stay true to you, your only 13!

Bras do not keep your boobs from growing.
Just make sure your bras fit correctly and are comfortable.

if bras kept boobs from growing no one would ever wear them. i think maybe your mother only think of them as bad because she might think of you as a little young to want to enhance the look of your breasts.
