WOW that's great! You need to ride out the cravings or try some of the quite smoking gum. Your lungs are already starting to heal, your body is thanking you! You are stronger than nicotine, don't let it win this battle. Your doing fantastic, the first week is the hardest and you've already done that.
How ever there will be may times, even years from now that you'll think "gee, I'd like a smoke" but it won't be near as strong as it is now. lol :)

2 weeks is when you are completely cleansed from the atual nicotine. But this is an addiction just like any other, and once an addict always an addict. You will have to find the will power to ward off those cravings for the rest of your life, although each time you succesfully overcome a craving, the next will be easier, and easier. Don give in, I believe in you

I never had that problem but all my brothers 5 and sister smoked and they paid the price for it. They are all dead now many in their 50s. I can tell you this if it will help in motivating you. I have a Dr friend head of Radiology in Florida hospital.
He took me through his Department with xrays etc all around the room. He showed me an actual lung of a smoker. It was like dark heavy chocolate had been applied to it, crusted over so that you could take a small knife and flip pieces of it off like a crust on an object. That is another reason to stick it out. Good luck and a long life will be your reward.

i completely encourage you to fight the craving because in the long run you will feel soo much better that you were able to overcome this addiction. if you can afford it, maybe try buying the Nicorette gum...?? my uncle stopped smoking between three to five years ago, and he invested in this gum. it may have the flavor of the nicotine, which may help fight that craving when it comes, yet you're staying away from the harmfulness of a cigarette...??

GOOD LUCK!!

Congratulations on the 6 weeks!!!! That is excellent. I haven't quit yet, but I have talked to people who haven't had one in years, and they say they still crave them sometimes. Just stay strong, and try to stay out of situations that make you want to smoke. Good Luck!!

a common myth is that you are craving a cigarette, it's already out of your system.....you are free from cigarettes, why go back to being a slave to them. You already know all the health risks...that's a bunch of mumbo jumbo to a cigarette smoker.....so, You feel better and that's the way it should be....end of story.

GOOD FOR YOU! KEEP IT UP HOMIE. KEEP IT UP! DON'T FALL BACK IN TO TEMPTATION. YOU CAN DO IT!

Anytime you feel like smoking chew gum or work out or paint or something. Anything to keep your mind off the evil nicotine

I have never now nor will I ever smoke, but I know how hard it is. A few of my friends smoke and I'm trying to make them quit

Don't give into the craving no matter what. Focus on something else. Maybe go for a run to get your mind off of it and tehn treat youself with something none addictive.
