Hi, My girlfriends laptop is having issues. First the adapter she got with the computer died on her today so she went to get another one and within 2 hours it killed that one too. I tried them on my laptop to see if they were turly dead and they were. Any ideas as to what might be causing this? Could a short in her laptop be frying the adapters?
Thanks

It did this in two different outlests in different areas of the house, and other things were plugged into them as well and it didn't do anything to them. I'll have her check about the warranty info.

Time to have it checked out at an Electronic store or repair shop. Without the proper testing equipment, you can only Guss at what the problem might be.

It could be a problem with either the laptop or the wall outlet. Try plugging a lamp into the same outlet the adapters were plugged into and turn it on. If the bulb blows, you're outlet is having an issue with voltage spikes. (note: it may not blow immediately, you may have to give it a few hours of being powered on)
If that doesn't happen, then it's probably best to check into your warranty from the laptop manufacturer and get it repaired. If your warranty has expired, then a local repair shop should be able to diagnose and repair the problem.

Likely. Use a fuse and multimeter analyzer between them to know for sure.
