All you have to do is just put an exhaust tip and lots of chrome and neon lights on a honda. Just make it look fast and there you are. Don't forget the airbrush of Jesus on the hood and you'll be set.
Seriously building any car is expensive when you get down to it. I have a Porsche and a 70 Cutlass that are works in progress, oh yeah can't forget the Harley and the Rokon and the trucks.... damn fleet anyway.
I would go for the muscle car on a personal level but a nice motorcycle is also an option. and if you go muscle stick with a chevy project your first time out, parts are available everywhere especially for the 350.

As you can see, there is no simple answer and personal preferences often come into play...
...SO, here's mine. Muscle cars have a wider array of options. Most "ricers" you have to go hi-tech. Either way if you do it right you are going to be making a substantial investment (time, energy and money). Not to mention that actually racing them puts your investment at risk. For a low buck looker, I would go with the ricer. For some serious fun, it depends, what types of car clubs are in your area. A larger "community" of car owners with similar interest can be of tremendous help in terms of support and advise. You also have built in a group of people with whom you can hang out and enjoy your new hobby/addiction.

what ur gona want to do is get a cheap rice burner car and swap out the small engine for a big v8 (corvette) engine lol
but that's just what i wanna do ..
yeah so i do believe if u wanta go BIG horsepower get a muscle car cus you will get more horsepower for your money.
if u wanna go average hp say 300 to 500 hp you could just go with a street racer type car and get a simple turbo kit for it
in my opinion a diesel truck is the best bet because even though u may not corner so good you can add lots of horsepower for not as much money. =)

That is such a wide open question, it all depends on what you want to do with the cars and what condition they are in to begin with. The saying goes, "speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?" So it all depends on what you want, do you want a ricer, or a good ol' hot rod muscle car? You make the call. good luck.

HAHAHAHAH LOL at eck above me. sport motorcycles are designed to bypass around corners!!! Why do you think of they're utilized in MotoGP? besides you will locate some good muscle automobiles for 20 grand or under. i propose they wont be in suited concern yet they are going to be in distinctly good concern. yet in simple terms regarded around. additionally in case you want one for basically 20 grand determine you dont get the main desireable years of muscle such because of the fact the 1970 Chevelle and sixty 9 camaro etc. yet you will get the different years for good fees. regarded at sixty seven and sixty 8 camaros, 60's years and 1971-1972 Chevelles and El caminos. Mustangs are effortless to locate. additionally dont rule out some previous mopar like chargers and challengers, in my opinion Muscle is a thank you to bypass. extra bang on your greenback because of the fact unlike ricemobiles you dont could spend a ton of money to make 4 hundred HP, additionally they could extra powerful, look extra powerful, and could be extra relaxing and turn extra heads.

it is cheaper to mod a rice burner than an american muscle car. however in the long run the american might cost less to get more horse power. American muscle come with a lot more HP than a Japanesse cars to start with, but they weight a lot more. so you need more HP to get an american car to be fast. so an american racer need more HP than a ricer burner to be just as fat. in my opinion it is all in what you perfer.
