I'm 33 years old. I started with brown spotting on 6/10 (about 15 days ago) and it hasn't stopped. It's not heavy that I don't even use a pad. I started out brown, then red/brownish. It's on and off but never stopped. I had a pap smear two months ago and a pelvic exam, blood test and ultrasound about three days ago at the hospital. The results are ok. I went back to my doctor this morning and she gave me Provera to stop the bleeding. I wonder if this happen to anyone??? Also, does it sounds like a cysts or fabroid inside the uterus????

Yes it could be related to cysts, or even fibroids (which can also grow on the outside of the uterus) but certain kinds of infection such as with the cervix can also cause bleeding to occur.

Chances are possible (and please ask your dr to see if they did) that the dr took samples of your vaginal discharge to send off to the lab for analysis to see if you have an infection going on.

I had a huge problem with cervical infections from 2003-2005 and the one symptom I had a huge problem with while having these infections is that of irregular bleeding that also often acted like a period.

This could be a combo of both fibroid and hormones at your age.Peri- meno and all that.I do this same thing but then eventually it gets much heavier.I always have brownish discharge a little before and after. My doc said this is old blood likely behind the tumors.I went through tons of test and they only found the masses.I have 3 and look like I carry a 4 month fetus.
