Emotion is stronger than creed.

Meaning what we do has more to do with our emotional self rather that any statement of belief. Or, stated another way, our consious belief system serves the emotional self.

Oh, whoops, I immediately thought of the band Creed.

I like it, it makes sense....creed serving the emotions!

I think we believe in our emotions to be the truth, and having the emotions substitute for the truth is a bad thing...so that could prove that our beliefs are inaccurate and that we don't follow them as much as we do with our emotions.

If the emotional self is fueled by purpose and logic is the most efficient way to gain purpose and understanding then your statement is inaccurate. Most misanthropes would most likely agree that emotions are an unstable and unreliable foundation and should not be relied upon as a source for living daily life and carrying out decisions.

It's true, creed itself is rather weak, in most instances, it only serves to give some structure to irrational emotional impulses. We rationalize all kinds of weird beliefs, with the intention of defending the emotional self, not the belief structure per se.

Wow, we all from time to time have done things that weren't necessarily what we wanted to do. Yes there is an accountability. Some people sleep around all there lives and nothing happens, others do it just once and the catch a fatal disease. Sometimes thought is not given to reactions but you always hear people talk about in hindsight, we all are on a sea some more stable than others but we all wavier in these houses. (flesh) I guess I disagree. My calling is one of mercy.

Emotion is over indulged in our culture.

Frankly, I could care less how people feel. Please do not assume that I want to have a 20 minute discussion where you "share" all your feelings with me. They are your feelings -- deal with your own feelings.

The statement is only true to those who over induldge their emotional states to the expense of any balance in their life. There are others things in life besides what you feel, or what I feel.

Since I don't have a belief system, don't believe anything, that is a very tenuous statement. ~
It does make sense when I think of religious people I know.
