Hello

1. 3/8 = x/48 so x = 3*48 / 8 = 18

2. 80 + 35 = 115 so 35/115 = 30.4%

Hope This Helps!!

1. This is a ratio problem. For every 3 policemen , theres 8 boyscouts. 3 / 8 is equal to x / 48 to find x, cross multiply to get your answer of 18 trafic policemen.

2. This is a percentage problem. First, look at what the problem asks. It wants a percentage of ducks, and their gender does not matter. So add the male and female ducks together which is 145. Then ask yourself this question... 35 (sold ducks) is what percent of 145? Heres the equation u lookin for. x / 100 = 35 / 145 cross multiply and get 24%
