you will either need to cash it att the bank it is from, or a party store or something like that, most places will charge you though.

Unless you have an account at another bank (other than where the check is drawn) you won't be able to cash it. WAMU won't cash a check drawn on B of A unless you have an account at WAMU. If that check bounces the bank needs an account to debit to get their money back.

-If you don't have an account anywhere else you can cash it at the bank it's drawn on-Commerce Bank

-Try a check cashing establishment? They'll charge a fee so make sure it's worth it

-If you still have no luck-Do you have a friend/family member with a checking or savings account? If so, maybe their bank will cash it as a third party check (which is when you sign your check over to someone else). If so, both of you need to be present to cash it. The only problem with this scenorio is that most banks don't cash third party checks, however exceptions can be made depending on the amount of the check.

Policies vary by bank. Most banks will only cash checks for non-customers if they are drawn on the bank where you are trying to cash the check. A fee is usually charged for this service. There are also many check cashing services that charge larger fees. I recommend opening a checking account at the bank of your choice.

USUALLY IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE BANK NAMED ON THE CHECK. THEN THEY RUN THE NAME ON THE CHECK TO SEE IF THEY HAVE MONEY IN THEIR ACCOUNT TO COVER THE CHECK. SO YOU BETTER HOPE THEY DIDN'T RIP YOU OFF. THE PEOPLE NOT THE BANK.
