I like the actor, Brian Blessed, but in every role he's been in, he always shouts very loudly.
Has he been in anything where he doesn't shout?

A Brian Blessed is an industry term for someone who shouts at those who work under him!
He does have a large pair of lungs though!

Brian Blessed tends to get cast as the hearty loud one. Check out the scene after the battle of Agincourt in Brannagh's 'Henry V'; Blessed has one line, beautifully and softly delivered.

Is it possible that he is slightly deaf and doesn't realise how loud he is.
My mate who died last year used to take two people aside and tell them that the other person they were dealing with was hard of hearing it was hilarious watching them shouting at each other until the penny dropped

I saw him giving an interview on Sat. night regarding when he performed as Pavaroti on Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes. He has a big mouth and a big head - the man just could not stop talking about himself and what he had done. I went right off him.
