My ex wife and her boyfriend are putting my 8 eight year son outside in the 115 degree heat for time out. On top of that,he was being refused water, my 6 year went to get him water and her boyfriend sad no water. I think a crime has been committed here. The boyfriend told me that keeping him inside wasn't working. I told this boyfriend to stop at once. I asked my ex wife to stop as she just is protecting her boyfriend. I have never had a behavioral problem with my son when it's my turn for visitation. We're talking about Queen Creek, just outside Phoenix, Arizona heat.

Child protective services MUST investigate the complaint. Call them. Get a report number. You need to ask for it. Call the police when you hear of further incidents. I lived in Phoenix (Tempe and Chandler) and know what that heat means. If you don't get a report number from CPS, ask to speak to a supervisor.

Yeah - what ibwinkin said. This is serious stuff; overheating can happen very fast, and denying water in high heat would qualify as child abuse. It's hard to believe that people can be that vicious and stupid, but you read every day about idiots killing kids by leaving them in the car in high heat - this isn't that much different. You've got to act on this one.

You've called CPS and they won't do anything? Call the police. Maybe you can have a neighbor call you when they see this behavior going on. Consult with your lawyer.
