Yes of course! Remember that UFO you saw that one night? Well so does the government. it was their test experiment of some new or alien technology. Also, if the government has any brainpower left since Bush took over, they should be keeping this kind of thing from the public. I mean, haven't you seen Men In Black? How do you think they got most of their information? The government told them, of course! That's all i gotta say about that, thanks!

You bet, the idea of State Secrets Privilege came from something the government thought it had to hide.
"In United States v. Reynolds (1953), the widows of three crew members of a B-29 Superfortress bomber that had crashed in 1948 sought accident reports on the crash, but were told that to release such details would threaten national security by revealing the bomber's top-secret mission. The Supreme Court ruled that the executive branch could bar evidence from the court which they had deemed a threat to national security. In 2000, the accident reports in question were declassified and released, and were found to contain no secret information. They did, however, contain information about the poor state of condition of the aircraft itself, which would have been very compromising to the Air Force's case. Many legal experts have alleged government misuse of secrecy in the landmark case."

ok i am republican and very conservative. but, i'll tell you something. the government is hiding more then anyone, and i mean anyone knows. its all a game weithor we vote democrate or republican. i mainly vote republican becouse of abortion. the rest is pretty trival. they will bring the troops back from iraq when they do. we have no say. we will never know the truth about iraq. i am sure it was for more then oil. my thoughts and ideas may be true or not. i'll never know.
edit: i think ziplock above me does have a huge point. all these movies about strange things. strange things on tv. notice how government and hollywood are in bed together. i think the government is trying to throw ideas about different things into holleywood to teach us things before the offical news is out.

Are you sure you have been in America for awhile now? Of course the government is hiding something - your tax money and mine and they lie and tell you that they had to buy new toilet seats at the Justice Department and the cost for each toilet seat was about $600!

I believe that the Government is hiding the fact that the Democrats are now in cahoots with the Terrorists.
(But it may be common knowledge.)

I don't know . They didn't say . I do know democrats in office don't want us to know much ..or they wouldn't be trying to shut down talk radio with a vengeance before the election , with the inappropriately titled "Fairness Doctrine".
