School recommendation for pediatric nursing?

My 17 year old niece would like to become a pediatric nurse. I'm looking for recommendations for schools in Michigan, and any important information/advice she should know.

I was/am going to take classes at the local community college for nursing, not only cause its closer to home, but because its also cheaper on my pocket. But here in Iowa, there is a waiting list.So you may want to find out about that there too. And my advisor told me that you have to take a special test before you can even try to enroll for nursing class.
