Chainsaw chain is very hot and stretches to far?

I think its the fact oil is not reaching the chain and i would like to know how to fix or check that out. I also know it could be the socket. What is that?

You have to make sure that the chain is getting oil. I usually hold the end of the bar a short distance from the garbage can and rev it up. I can see the oil from the chain on the can. A couple of things could stop the oil from getting to the bar. The bar could be filled with sawdust and plugging the holes or the oil pump could be bad. I had to replace the small tubing that goes from the pump to the tank due to a hole in the tubing. You must be talking about the sprocket. That will cause the chain to be loose and than tight but has nothing to do with oil. Clean you bar and the saw to make sure all the passages are clear. When all is clean and the oil tank is full check to see if it is oiling. If not you need to figure that out or you will ruin the chain and the bar.

It's very important that the chain get oil. Take a piece of Kleenex or similar and wipe blade and see if it shows up. Chains when new will stretch that is why they tell you to check it often. It will get hot just from friction that is normal as well. You don't want to run the chain too tight. You should be able to grab the chain and pull down a bit from the middle of the chain bar. Your probably OK. Any other worries you should contact manufacture.

Make sure the bar is getting oil or you'll be replacing the bar and chain, not cheap. If the bar isn't getting oil, the pump may be bad, take it to the dealer. It could also be plugged, see your owners manual.
Your chain is to loose also, it should show how to tighten it in the owners manual. Every-time you use the saw, you should maintain it well.
keeping it clean is the first step, the second is the oil and then the chain itself. Keep it sharp and tight.
I used a roller bar nose, it saves the chain and you won't have to tighten it all the time.
