It;s not unusual for a goldfish to change color. it can be from several reasons, but is most often related to the age of the fish. Believe it or not it can also be due to the color of the gravel. Lighter color will reflect on the fish and it will become lighter in color.

ok well i have a goldfish too and it is the same thing, i had my goldfish for like 5 years before he turned silver, but now he is all silver/whitish and i asked the pet store, and they said that it is just a sign of age, like peoples hair turning gray. like people, some turn white earlier than others. but my goldfish has been silver/white for about 2 years now, and hes still kickin, so just because yours is turning white, doesnt mean hes dieing.
hope i helped!

Your fish are fine. Turning silver or white could be lack of aquriaum lighting. Human need sun light because it's carry vitamin D, so do fish. If you leave you gold fish out door for a few days, you will soon see their redish orange began to appear. After a few weeks of being outdoor, you goldfish will be completely redish orange.

Yes your fish is alright. Some goldfish will turn colors for no apparant reason. It's normal. I 've had silver ones that turned orange. As they age they just change colors.

I have 2 goldfish. 1 was orange and one was white with a red cap. The orange one turned white and the white one turned orange. That was when they were babies. They're both 2 now and completely healthy. It's a genetics thing that causes the color change. No worries :)

Generally this can just be nature taking its course (like our eye color changes or our hair gets grey).
This could be caused by stress (think of environment first, get water tested, etc) or it could be a need to change the fish's diet (add frozen or change brands). If neither of these help or you notice additional signs of illness you should contact a vet or other fish "expert" for proper diagnosis.

goldfish change colors throughout their life, it's very common and nothing to worry about. a few things to make sure of though, nothing life threatening, is it in a spot that it get some sunlight? if not try moving the tank so if get a little INDIRECT sunlight.
you should also try feeding your goldfish an orange slice. tie a string through it and float it in the water, full of nutrients for them, plus most goldfish love it.

your fish is fine. It is normal for goldfish to sometimes go through several color changes as they mature before achieving their adult coloration.

you fell for the oldest flim-flam in the book....payed top dollar for a "gold" fish and they gave you a "gold plated" fish...just like in that movie "Squid on a hot tin roof"...
