baking soda followed by hydrogen Peroxide.

If all else fails....send Rosie O'Donnell down there to investigate. She'll either scare away or eat what ever is smelling bad.

I don't know why this question was posted under this topic, but I do know that they make a product that is designed for this purpose it is called Disposer Care. It comes in a blue box and it has several packets of cleaners. The directions are outlined on the box...this stuff works great.

I have purchased it at Target and have also seen it at various grocery stores. It's on the aisle with the dish detergents.

Real lemons cut in half and let the disposal do the rst smells so good

1/2 cup baking soda + 1/2 cup vinegar, pour soda first and then slowly pour vinegar and let set until bubbles are gone. Then run hot water.

Lemon and vinegar is very good at getting rid of bad smells .
