As a philosophical question, the issue is one of knowledge and belief. when did you first hear about the existence of gods? Who told you that this was true? Why did you believe this information without evidence? Why do you continue to believe this?
I think you have confused the onus in the situation. Any academic writing that I have done, the onus was on me to prove my case.
I don't feel any obligation or compulsion to believe in things that have not been adequately demonstrated to me.
After all, we all know that you are here to ask the question because of the work of the Pink Pixie of Mars. The reality being that I can use the very same arguments to "prove" the existence of the Pink Pixie that anyone can use to argue the existence of gods.
I might add the question is highly ethnocentric. For thousands of years, other cultures have believed or had polytheistic religions.

Ah, we get deep, anything and everything has been made into a God throughout history but I believe in a divine force that has set a universal law and the natural rights of a nature and man and he allows to let man dectate his own will as to following these laws but if he makes the wrong choice the penalty is received in himself, so we can't say the parents ate the grapes and the children teeth are crooked. A homosapiens seed will continue in the earth and a homosexual seed will die and there will be no offspring. God is and will always be but it is just the perception of God that men actually miss seeing.

My belief in the divine is so firm that most challenges that are presented strike me as funny rather than serious. To me, it would be like doubting the Sun is in the sky (though I've met a few strange people who do even that).
But no. The divinity I believe in is not Jesus, nor the god of the Christians, nor really any god with a capital G. In fact, theirs is one of the few theologies I tend to completely reject, largely because their beliefs leave no room for mine. No offense to any Christians out there, many of whom I know are very good people (my gods, at least, will NOT send YOU to Hell... heh).
The biggest reason I believe in my gods is that I interact and communicate with them regularly. If nothing else, they are those entities with which I communicate. They tell me things and it pleases me to believe them. And based on my understanding of who they are and what they do, a world without them would be a strange one indeed.
Hope that helps give you whatever it was you were looking for. Peace.

No I don't believe in a God.
Because how we were created cannot be proven(or disproven for that matter). I don't believe in the "Big Bang" and I don't believe some "Mystical being" either. I just don't believe in anything, I couldn't really give a rat's *** how we were created because none of that matters. All I know(and care about) are the few facts of life(IE: women are from Venus and men are from Mars), and in the end that's all that really applies to my day to day life.

People seem to have a need to believe in something bigger than themselves. It's something people have -always- believed, it's part of human nature. Still, nobody really knows any more about him than anyone else, though they kill each other disagreeing over the details they don't know and nobody -can- know.
I believe in God because I choose to. I can't prove he exists, I just like to think so. I think believing in God can make you a better person, but as you can see, it doesn't always work that way.

No, I do not believe in God. I am Pro-Science. I think the universe was created by the Big-Bang, not by a "God" we have no proof even exists.

All beliefs,(philosophy, psychology, religion, law) come from spiritual belief and, regardless of tradition, are the same. Atheists must have the same amount of 'faith' in their belief system as Theists.
All of it exists in the realm of thought with the use of knowledge put there by culture.
All of it us completely unnecessary to the living organism.

Yes, I believe in God.
Why:
1. because I choose to do so
2. life can't be spontaneously created (i.e. the Big Bang)
3. you can't get something from nothing ( don't give me any of that free energy stuff, it only exists to an EXTENT, like only enough to power a small digital clock)
4. it's the only way to explain all the beauty and wonder in our world
5. Mark 16:16, John 3:16, Genesis 1, Ephesians 2: 8-9, John 3:36
6. The Bible is not just a book. It has been proven that people mentioned in the Bible (New Testament) really existed (they were compare to Roman historical documents).
