paper is at least 100yrs old. how can we find out what its worth ?

It's probably not worth a lot. Look up in the yellow pages to find someone who does antique appraisals, and call them and ask them if they do old documents (that's kind of a specialty). If they don't, they will know who does.

Go the Historical museum.

take it to an antique dealer. they can roughly guess the age. If they try to buy it off of you, take it to an appraiser FIRST
