Question was about dream paralysis, my answer, according to sympons do you like a drink? symptons not unlike withdrawal from drink symtons, no offence only trying to help,as I worked in this field, only trying to be helpful and not offensive. personally I thought the complaint was crap, not comparing it with some, so if some question askers can!t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. ALL answers welcome.

Andy - it doesn't make sense that you were penalized for what you say. You can appeal your case to yahoo answers.

Good Luck!!!

If you disputed it with Yahoo, you've done all you need to do for this one.

I think the asker may have misunderstood you, though. It **almost** sounds like you're calling the asker a drunk. You know and I know that was not what you intended, but someone who was reading your answer in a hurry might not have taken the time to think about what you were saying and put it all togther to get your point. It's also possible that the asker saw "drink," got mad, hit the "report abuse" button, and didn't bother to read the rest of your answer.

If your answer to the asker was written the same way as you've quoted it here, I could understand why they got confused. Using proper grammar and spelling would make it a lot less likely that you'd be misunderstood.

I know that Yahoo Answers isn't an English composition class, but in a setting like this one where the written word is ALL the reader has to go by, it's important to make those written words as clear as possible to avoid misunderstandings. And also, to avoid unintentionally offending someone.

No offense intended from me, either. I'm just trying to shed some light on what happened. Good day and hope that helps!

Y&A have a rule and seem to see only black or white. No human emotion, no acceptance of personal expression or views. Don't take it personally. Also allot of people on here are really really odd. They find the slightest thing to report instead of thinking about it. You ask a question because you want an answer to it....... not abuse. Fair enough if it's obvious abuse or insult it's deserved but more than not it's missinterperated.

To be honest, i wish it was fair. I had a violation for things i did deserve and for things i didn't deserve. For the ones i deserved i expected it anyways so it wasn't a huge surprise. I get really upset when i got a violation for being brutally honest and respectful. I didn't see how i violated the guidelines in the past. On my 360 page i blogged some of my violation notices. I am glad that i am still here but i wish they weren't so tough and would automatically violate racist questions.

I got violated for a question i answered eleven months ago. I figured that someone was jealous at my points and level.

It happens a lot. Sometimes if someone doesn't share your opinion, then they report you. It's a bunch of hooey if you ask me, but unfortunately not much you can do because Yahoo doesn't police the answers like they should.

cause the ppl on here like to report you if you make them mad. its not right but they do. I think if they were not looking for the truth they shouldnt ask the question.
I got reported for the first time on polls last night b/c of telling somone who asked if they wanted to get us a drink the type of drink i drink at the bar and asked them to get it for me.

That sucks. I've seen some terrible answers on here that should be reported, but your answer was completely fine and shouldn't have been reported.

I HATE it when that happens.

If a questioner asks for people's opinions on something, they should be smart enough to realise that everything they hear is not going to agree with them. THAT is NOT reason enough to violate them for it.

Big ol sissies!
