Why aren't there suicide bombings in the United States?

Don't get me wrong, I am very glad we have been relatively safe from the work of 'Jihad,' but after really thinking about the situation, I don't understand why we aren't hearing of attacks inside the United States everyday.

It is no secret that these terrorist groups despise the United States on a level only below Israel.

Getting inside our country would of course not be a problem, as one would have to try pretty hard to be caught. Most of these explosives can be made legally without buying illegal equipment.

The only guess I can come up with is they are plotting for one giant strike to kick things off. If even one was successful, which wouldn't be a hard feat, we would step up security instantly, as this would hit closer to home than the violence in Iraq most Americans are sheltered from. This really scares me, as this is the only rational explanation I can think of.

But son, you certainly don't understand their organization. Do you think they care about Muslims in America? Having Muslims persecuted in America would help their cause greatly. It would fuel anti-american hatred in the MIddle East and around the world.

I don't think the word suicide is correct. It is mainly used as a political tool by a country that invaded another country and that the only effective military weapon this invaded country has is the patriots who martyr themselves to fight against the invaders. I'm sure they regret that they only have one life to give for their country. America has not really been, and never will be, invaded. All countries do have singular terrorist events. They don't usually use them to justify a phony war for business, religious, or political purposes.

I think you are correct (Your last paragraph).
I think the best thing we can do as people is try to imagine that one morning we wake up and the whole Country looks a lot like the aftermath of the Katrina hurricane (The lawlessness) because of nation-wide mayhem. -Be prepared for such an event. In every way.

Muslims are still a minority in this country and if anyone pulled stunts like these in the States, it would be "The Siege" in every American city with a large Muslim population. Not that that is a bad idea...

You know, I'm not really trying to be crass, but those zealous freaks are over here, too. I really think it has to do with here they can go to a casino, buy alcohol, and get laid with a ho. Those are the things that tamed the west and tame the savage male. I think they can blow off a little steam over here and it tames the urge to blow oneself up (although maybe not the urge to blow others up). Think about it.....I'd be willing to blow myself up, too, if I couldn't get a beer or get laid for an extended period of time, either. I'd get pissed as hell after awhile.

the reasons vary, but one of the biggest is that by fighting them in Iraq and afghanistan, we are keeping them to busy to get here. But don't relax, they ARE here, so far we have been lucky and the FBI etc have stopped several attacks that were still being planned. Let's all pray that continues to happen. Never forget 9-11

It has happened may times in America, someone with a belt bomb or blows up a building with themself in it. Do not be so naive.

Besides, its too easy to get a gun in America, so why waste your life or time blowing up your @ss when you can shoot people ?

We don't see "suicidal" as a good thing. We're not stupid like that. Many people want to live for their family and/or friends.They're just careless.

first, you seem very brainwashed on their organization! if these whacked out sub humans do try to implode themselves on us,,, i feel so sorry for the normal decent arab living here, can u imagine the old wild west? if it happens believe me there will be bloodshed thruout our country,, many innocent arabs will be shot! and finally, our airforce will definetely deploy small nukes to pakistan, afghanistan, iran and iraq,,,,
