Walmart sucks..period.....and if you think you are getting great deals ...your not anymore.......they started out by cheap selling cheap stuff....hooked the general public, and now they perception is they are still a great deal when in reality the prices at target and even my local grocery store are better on most things. But they got the public thinking the still are getting great deals......fact is walmart has slowly raised prices over the past few years.
Get a clue people...shop target...better prices..better stores.

To say Walmart is a monopoly is like saying Amazon.com is a monopoly. Neither are a monopoly. They both have plenty of competition. But both are well managed by motivated people and both have a very successful business plan.
Why does everybody have such heartburn with WalMart? Because they are non-union? Fine, I don't mind. Modern unions are not what they were intended to be, especially in today's marketplace.
WalMart always has the stuff I need and usually at a lower price than everyone else. What's wrong with that?
If people don't want to save a little money then there are all sorts of other places to shop. If somebody else has lower prices then shop there.
I don't understand why a growing number of people want to convince the world that Walmart is the greatest evil of the millennium. Just vote with your wallet and shop elsewhere.

Why not? I mean every company that gets too big for it's britches always ends with shame. I mean look at KMart! Remember they were the place to shope in the 70's and part of the eighties! Remember Hecks and Ben Franklin. Wal-Mart is riding high now-their star too will fade when the next big thing comes along and snuffs out their light.

Walmart is not a monopoly. Walmart is very successful but it has plenty of competition from various companies. Target, K-mart are two of the biggest ones.

WalMart has slowly been taking over this country for years. Think about it, a part time job that requires you clock out just 30 minutes shy of a 40 hr week while they throw just enough money at you to realize that a job with them will NEVER amount to anything. I keep hearing the workers complain but, I have yet to see a strike.

wal-mart is not a monopoly,
a monopoly is a company that has such dominance over a market that you litterally have no choice but to do business with that company or to go without the products or services they offer.
I've never shopped at wal-mart in my life and I've never gone without food or clothing because I couldn't get them somewhere else.
There's a difference between leading your market (by more than double their nearest competitor), and controlling it completely.

It really is the number one department store but don't forget we still have Target, KMart and Kohls.
But WalMart seems to be leading in the department store race and many businesses have lost many customers because of it.
It is a shame.
