Congratulations! I'm a first time mommy too and I wasn't sure if it was my daughter moving or not. But now I know that it's her moving...it's funny she kicks all the time and moves for me. But when my boyfriend tries to feel her move she doesn't...lol it's too cute. :-)

It is more than likely your baby moving! Congratulations! How fun it is to feel the living baby inside you. You will become more certain as your pregnancy progresses - and then you will wonder if the little bugger will ever stop moving so you can get to sleep - ha ha. You will actually see the movements at times, which is a lot of fun, especially when she decides to kick and people around you notice. People are going to want to touch your belly all the time to try to feel her move, it's just natural. At first I thought I would hate that part, since it's a violation of personal space - but then I realized that I do the same thing to pregnant friends! You can't help it! It's such an intimate time, and everyone wants to get to feel the baby, even strangers. Just think of it as "jealosy" (not in a bad way) that you get to have all the fun with your daughter, since you are the only one with any real connection to her right now. Have fun girl! Good luck.

The first baby movements you feel are little flutters, kind of feels like butterflies or a little gas. If you feel a pushing out, it could be the baby moving or just your tummy growing. The further along you get the more movement you will feel. The best part is seeing a little foot imprint on your tummy.

Could be possibly, is this the first time you are feeling such fluttering? I too am pregnant for the first time and am currently at 18 weeks and am still not sure if the activity I'm feeling in my stomach is actual kicking or just gas! :-)

Yes ma'am.
Wow, you are just now feeling it?
Maybe you were feeling it before now & thought it was gas or something. Seriously...
flutters is exactly what it feels like at first, the pushing from the inside is def. the baby moving around.

Yeah it sorta tickles doesn't it. It's the best feeling in the world to know that your carrying life in there isn't it. It will change over time and some babies are more active than others. Don't worry if you don't feel her kick I'm sure she's fine. Mine had a schedule where she was very active and usually towards night time and after I ate! So congrats!!

Yes! The movements are starting to get bigger. You'll feel pushing, thumping and flutters. Later you'll feel the baby flip over and have hiccups. So cool, mommy!

Of course, it is. It's kinda hard to know what it feels like. I'm prego with my second child and i just recently started feeling it a few days ago. I'm 25 weeks prego. Good luck and you will start feeling lots of movement before too long.

yes, it is. It's amazing, isn't it? I had trouble detecting the movements as well and asked my doctor. I didn't realize I had been feeling movements until I felt my first good kick at 21 weeks. Now, I feel her move alot and it is not always kicks - sometimes, rolling over or swimming.

If you're six months pregnant, then yes it's movement! I know that as a FTM it can be hard to distinguish movement, but from what you're describing I'm sure that it is your baby moving!
