Make sure you don't move her foot / ankle and bandage it in the position it's currently in. Use ace bandages or some type of elastic cloth to wrap and stabilize the foot / ankle. When you wrap, first wrap around the foot, then bring it around to the ankle and lower leg. The trick is to wrap the foot / ankle so it can't move in its relationship to her body. Apply enough pressure but not too much (you should be able to put your pinky finger between the bandage and her skin). Make sure you take her to the hospital if it's severe enough.

If you have an Ace wrap or elastic bandage apply that, otherwise elevate it and apply an ice pack

put some ice cubes in a towel, and put this icey towel the hurt foot. Don't put the ice directly on the skin, or she will get frost bite.

Ice pack is the best thing at the moment - keep it on till you can get someplace. Tylenol or whatever your family uses for pain/headaches etc.

Keep an icepack on her foot for a little while (15-20 min.)
Then put on elastic bandage on it.
(Thats what my mom did for me)
