~Some might call it discrimination, some might call it common sense. By whatever name, it is perfectly legal. One price to be paid for breaking the law is the loss of any claim or right to be protected by it. Actually, some jobs, especially those requiring bonding or a security clearance, preclude automatically the hiring of felons. Something to think about before lighting that crack pipe or sharing a line or breaking into somebody's house, or kiting those bad checks, no?
By definition, yes it is discrimination. So what? It is not proscribed discrimination any more than is rejecting an applicant for want of a high school diploma.

Not at all. If you have a felony charge put on your record, you better understand and except that not being hired for a job is a price you pay for doing something bad...

unlawful discrimination comprises very particular categories defined by utilizing regulation, like age, gender, sexual orientation, etc. as long as standards isn't on that checklist, this is not unlawful to apply them to make hiring judgements. working example, technically an business enterprise might have a coverage against hiring people who placed on pink shirts. Or they might have a coverage combating them from hiring all of us who does not have a bachelor's degree.
