My twin boys are 8 months old(today!) and they still sleep in the same crib. I totally recommend putting them in the same crib, they are used to being next to eachother and they really do provide comfort to eachother! (The nurses even put them in the same incubator in the hospital) I considered seperating them because they are all over the place now...but when you walk in and they are all cuddled up to each other sleeping so peacefully..i think why would i do that! They sleep so well (All night every night since 4 months) so why mess with that! Plus in the mornings when they wake up..they PLAY with eachother. How cute is that! It also allows me to get a couple extra minutes of sleep!
I plan on seperating mine at a year..but to each his own. A lot of people seperate them at the recommeded 3 months...but if I were you I would wait until 6 months to seperate!

*Edit* I just thought of something else..someone said something about how they are individuals..yeah of course they are! Them sleeping together has nothing to do with that! They just cant be treated as a unit by their family (trust me the rest of the world will see them as a unit) They have a bond that we cant understand!

A friend of mine had twins (girl and boy) and they slept in the same crib for the first 3 months. They were so cute and would cuddle together because they were so used to being close in the womb. By 3 months, she moved them into seperate cribs and they did fine. They are still really close.

until eventually now they're cellular, many human beings have twins interior the comparable crib and sense that the twins easily want to be at the same time. after all, they have been business enterprise for one yet another for the previous 9 months. yet you will ultimately choose 2 cribs whilst they start to bypass approximately and roll. So 2 cribs isn't a undesirable investment.

I am also expecting twins and we plan on kind of playing it by ear. For the first few months while they are in our room we will have them in the same crib. Once they start rolling over, we will just have to see how it works. I figure we will eventually have to put them in their own crib (probably by about 9 months) but until then, we just have to see what works.
GOOD LUCK!

My sister-in-law kept her twins in the same crib until they started crawling - then she put them in seperate cribs but still in the same room. You don't want them to get to the standing stage while still in the same crib - one might use the other for a boost up and out of the crib!

In the same crib.....remember they've been squashed up together in the womb for 9 months....it's enough of a shock to the system to be born and experience the outside world.....having the other twin around will provide a small amount of familiarity for them....keep them together.

Ask your for your pediatritions advice, but I would sugest having them in the same crib when they are newborns, but after the first few months, move one to a seperate crib.

Each baby should have his/her own crib, bassinet, or other that you'll use as the bed. Even things like stuffed animals, pillows, and blankets aren't recommended inside the baby's crib to prevent possibility of SIDS.

No personal experience, but I'd say separate cribs to avoid any possible injuries that could occur..
