Ken.
Ken, ken, ken.
You know we always disagree and this is no exception. It shames me that you think so little of your country and your flag.
With communism, everything is controlled by an elite few.
I like free market choice. Take your internet company for example. You know, the only one in your area. Or the three telephone companies. Or the two gas stations you can buy from. Maybe your hydro company. Your massive bookstore that, well made all of the others disappear and gets to decide which books meet family values?
CAPITALISM (freedom) is different than governemtn control. See - government is accountable to be transparent. Personally, I prefer the people who run all of these ital industries to be up very high in a shadowy tower where they can exercise our American dream of price gouging, ensuring shitty service by sending our jobs to India (per sé), maybe do a little insider trading, give themselves exorborant raises while letting wages stagnate, buy out any serious competition -- all in the name of 10% of people who are much richer than we'll ever be.
Ken. You're questionning the American Dream. What's next? Worshipping the Dark Lord?

Communism, on paper, is good tribal policy. It recognizes that the least worthy individual is valuable for the survival of the tribe and that each one is important down to the last man woman and child. It recognizes the immoral imbalance gap in a world that allows the creation of billionaires while other billions, without hope for the future, die of starvation, disease or civil conflict. Men know how to create Utopia on paper in many ways but none can enforce or live by Utopia when it arrives. Big government that ignores the needs of the many and big Corporations, loyal to profit alone are two of the same kind wearing different masks. If people wave an American flag made in China, it's Wal Mart's fault, not the American flag wavers.

in basic terms one certainty could be seen. Capitalism IS destroying this planet! the folk benefitting from the capitalist gadget additionally administration the mass media: a certainty whether you like it or no longer. interior the 1950's it became got here across that the television must be used to inform the inhabitants in simple terms approximately something. a number of your different solutions are fairly laughable once you be attentive to how the various societies could artwork. Capitalism: an extremely small style of especially wealthy human beings, a reasonable style of human beings saved content textile: the overpowering majority in relative / absolute poverty or ravenous to death. Communism, even with the undeniable fact that it hasn't yet been tried wisely, could serve all and sundry. all and sundry could be extra powerful off - no longer financially or materially, for those are irrelevent factors of this capitalist society - yet socially and intellectually or perhaps spiritually. there is a lot extra to this answer than i will write right here. yet, all i want say, is that the inhabitants are informed to hate a society that would income all of them immensley and love a society that reasons mass suffering, because of the fact the folk who income from the society that reasons lots suffering are the very those that workout total administration over each little thing that we hear, think of, learn, believe, want & aspire to. It takes genuine braveness to even dare seem previous the equipment of administration that we've directing our each action or theory, and individuals that do get the form of solutions that lots of the folk have given to this question. that's why so few human beings help communism.

The flags that we fly are still made in the USA, they cost an arm and a leg, but are well worth it.
I'm not much of a Wal-Mart person and never have been, mostly because they've driven so many people under and also because I'm not in love with the store itself.

You clearly aren't a chess player. It's called strategy.
Red China is becoming more capitalist every day. And we didn't even have to fire a shot. We beat then at their own game by planting the seeds of free markets and consumerism under their noses. A stroke of brilliance by Nixon.
The capitalist train has already left the station for China, there is no turning back.

Communism is a good form of government for poorer countries. the poor people are taken care of.from cradle to grave.
not good for the US. but for countries like Cuba,
Where health care and education are provided for the people.
Cuba has a higher literacy rate than the US. and life expectancy in Cuba is about the same as in the US or even higher. don't be so fast in thinking that communism is bad for all. Here in the US. the Government is here to support big business and the rich.the middle class is being forgotten.
How are you paying for health care? How are you paying for your kids education?

If you're going to make big statements like that, you may want to back them up with something.
Here's a link that, while not stating that Wal-Mart = Communism, it does give some food for thought about mega-stores.
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/walmart/view/
As for communism itself, it's a nice idea, but much like Randian objectivism, it just doesn't work out when actual people become factored in.

Haha yah sure, everything I'm wearing was probably made in China, my computer was probably made in China, my rucksack is probably made in China, hell everything's made in China! And the conservatives don't want to admit to it but we rely on their grotesque manufacturing economy to satisfy the middle and upper classes, and give the lower class cheap goods! Because otherwise instead of being employed at walmart, they would be making their own plastic accessories!
Supporting Communism? We love Communism. Couldn't live without it!

In an indirect way, I guess the answer is yes. The argument is made that by trading with the Chinese their people will reap a small portion of capitalism and perhaps desire a bigger slice. This could possibly lead to more democratic changes in China. We can only hope.
And I might add, it is better to trade goods with them than to trade bullets or nukes.

True story - I picked up a stomped on plastic promo american flag after the running of the torch through my city during the Atlanta olympics. It has a "made in china" sticker on it. Had to keep that one.
