Google Earth acquires the best imagery available, most of which is approximately one to three years old. We add to our database on a regular basis. We’re not able to provide you with detailed information regarding when a specific area will be updated. Also, we do not offer high resolution data by order as this imagery will be added when it is available from our providers.

Some images are updated more frequently than others. In some areas, the imagery may be as new as six months old while others may be as old as five years. All imagery found on Google is not updated at the same time.

Not often. At a house i lived at like 5 years ago the driveway was a normal cement color, and when i moved it it was painted green, so that's pretty old.

Rarely. I think they still have pre-Katrina New Orleans, though I'd have to check.
