They've currently gone Blu Ray as mentioned above, but will continue to rent HD-DVDs in any store they currently rent them at. Basically, Blockbuster started rented HD-DVDs and Blu Rays at some higher end stores, and any stores currently doing this will continue to rent HD-DVDs. It's only in other stores that don't rent any HD content that Blockbuster is going Blu Ray exclusive.

Online retains both formats, much like Netflix.

Blockbuster decided to go all Blu-Ray in their stores. (They still offer both online though.)

They chose blu-ray, as it has outsold hd dvd by significant margins.
