Rep. John J. Duncan Jr. (R-TN): When you find out you are going down the wrong way on the interstate, you do not keep going. You get off at the next exit." (Democrats have been saying that for years)
Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX): "The biggest red herring in this debate is the innuendo that those who don't support expanding the war somehow don't support the troops." (Democrats have been saying that for years)
Sen. Susan Collins (R-Me.): "My conclusion was that it would be a mistake to send more troops to Baghdad. I think the sectarian violence there requires a political, not a military, solution." (Wow...Democrats have been saying that for years!)
Are they anti common sense?

It's more dead talking points by ideological righties. These people use soldiers and the war to get what they want. It's disgusting to see the pro-war crowd molest american soldiers to promote their dangerous rhetoric of endless war. Bush has adopted the wrong strategy to win Iraq. This military muslce way has been rejected by the US military and the ISG. It has killed 80000 iraqis and 3400 americans and will escalate the entire war. Bush's "strategy" will win the war in freakin' 100 years, if he's lucky....i ain't gonna wait that long. Dems don't have the perfect plan, there is no perfect plan though, but have the best plan to win Iraq--comprehensive troop withdrawal.

We don't claim they are traitors because they want the war to end. It is their actions.

Like claiming the war is hopelessly lost. Believe that if you want, but then push for withdrawal now, not in a year. Did you know while they claim this they only seek to remove all "combat" troops. Even Clinton's plan leaves troops in Iraq, it just makes them targets that basically sit there waiting for Al-Queda to show up, letting the country fall to ruin.

Like trying to dilute the country with Central and South American unskilled people because they are grand-parents of people who ran across the border and had an anchor baby. Or their support of illegal immigrants (Bush's support of them sickens me too). How about we let SKILLED EDUCATED people into the country to make up for all the spoiled lazy people living off the government's tit?

How about this socialized medicine? And expanding all forms of "entitlement" programs. You know what you are entitled to from the government? How about LAW ENFORCEMENT? The liberals have been against real law enforcement for as long as I can remember. Is it any wonder more people want guns to protect themselves? I know, let's put border guards in jail for doing their job (oops, that was Bush, but I know the liberals support it).

If you want an idea what the country will look like if the liberals take over, go look at California. Personally, that state scares me, especially southern Cal.

Polls show that most Americans believe that Saddam Hussein was somehow responsible for the 9/11 attacks and that Iraq is the main source of Islamic terrorism. Most of them have never seen the quotes you shared and don't really care. Their minds are made up, and facts are irrelevant. People are scared and angry and they want to lash out. The war gives them a convenient focus for their fear and anger, and the White House has taken full advantage of this. When you think about it, the remarkable thing is that so many have changed their minds and realized the war is a mistake. That's why the Democrats are now a majority in Congress. Kind of gives you new faith in the American way, doesn't it?

While clearly not popular one of the the best weapons in any war is to show unwavering solidarity to the success of that war. There are Republicans that believe that the public outcry against the war by certain Democrats has negatively influenced the success of the fighting in Iraq.

Republicans have nothing else to cling to except to attack Democrats. Their policies are in tatters, their politicians are in jail, and the Iraq war is a debacle. The measure of how desperate Republicans are is how hard they slander other people, and labeling Democrats traitors is the easiest thing for their little minds to do.

Ohhh lets see. Democrates are traitors because they support every postition that helps the terrorist. No gitmo. Treat them as citizens. Can't go to war with them. No spying on them. It's our fault. Thats why they are traitors. Not because they don't support the war. It's because they want us to lose the war. Just like they did in Vietnam. Shucks we haven't won a war sence WW2 because of pusses like you whining about how bad america is. Rome did not fall because some group of people took it over, it fell because it citizens were unwilling to defend it. Much like the traitors in the democrat party.

That, and perhaps they were raised believing that they are never wrong. Something most right-wingers have in common. When was the last time you heard a right winger say something like "gee, you know what, I was wrong about that(that being anything)" ? NEVER.

No one is saying that wanting the war to end is traitorous. Killing morale of the troops (Most of the Democrat party), rushing off to have meetings with the foreign leaders ( Spk. Nancy Pelosi D-Ca), comparing the military to Nazi's (Sen. Dick Durbin D-IL), or accusing them of terrorizing women and children and night (Sen. John Kerry D-MA), that is traitorous.

You can't be what you don't have. I guess Duncan, Paul and Collins are now America hating communists who can only think about cutting and running. What a bunch of coward losers. I wonder what hard core republicans will say when only the President, V.P. and McCain are left supporting this fiasco?
