It has often been proposed that the president be limited to a single six-year term. Would such a change strengthen or weaken the presidency? Would it improve the functioning of the American political system?

Am of the opinion that a 0ne time 6 year term would be much better than our present system..It would strengthen the Presidency and improve the functioning of the political system..as well as causing the house of reps and the senate to concentrate entirely on accomplishments during the 6 year period...Equally important is the abolishment of the Electoral College..

Term limits only go to show how strong the 2-party system is in this country, we aren't voting for candidates but political ideals that will continue on in different forms throughout history

The only thing that would improve the US political system would be limiting the terms of ALL elected representatives and functionaries, and people actually bothering their backsides to vote.

Weaken the presidency. Make the president essentially a lame duck from his inauguration on.

No.

I feel like 4 years is plenty of time to see if a President's policies are working or not. if they are you can elect him for another round.. Im ok with the way it is now.

We are messing with things that don't need messing with. It was set up the way it was for a reason. Allowing political, "Its my turn !" will screw things up. We already messed it up with limiting to 2 terms.
