Sorry honey, seems like your parents have some issues. It's up to them not you and you need to just deal with it for the time being. In a few years you will be out of the house and away from the nonsense :)

You can't "let" your parents do anything. They're adults. They make decisions for themselves.
If they can't conceive a girl, it might be that your dad just doesn't have any viable X sperm to offer. Whatever. I personally think they should accept what they have been given, but if they MUST have a girl, adoption is a possibility. Unfortunately, babies are hard to come by, so they would have to adopt an older "difficult to place" girl.
I wouldn't worry about the 14-year age difference. There are many families that have that kind of age split. My dad's oldest brother was 15 years older than his youngest brother. They still like each other and get along.
Do your best to help your parents out by helping Gavin, Adam, and the twins with their homework, chores, sports and stuff like that. And try to always look on the bright side of life, eh?

Well she is already pregnant now and there is a big chance that she will have a girl. My friend is the oldest of 9 and she and her Mom were pregnant together. Only they can decide when they are done. Being the oldest I'm sure you have a lot of responsibility and pressure on your shoulders. But keep your head up, you'll be grown and out of the house before you know it and going home to visit will be a blast.

Honestly 9 kids is way more than a lot... do your parents even have enough time for the 6 of you as it is... and really is risking your moms life worth it... if you and your brothers are ok with your parents just adopting, I would suggest it positively... Hopefully your parents can grow up and see the risks they are taking... especially using pregnancy drugs and the risks associated with that and the soon to be triplets... Just try and be positive and tell your parents you support them if they chose to adopt... only nature decides on what we have... as it should be.

sounds like you should have a talk with your parents and let them know how you feel about all this, I know someone who has 5 kids and another on the way because they are trying for a boy, they barely make it, but if your parents are financially set then they may want to keep trying but suggesting adoption couldn't hurt, there are a lot of kids out there that need a good home and family, the worst that could happen is that your parents say no, I 'm sure they would like to know how you feel though.

Your parents will do what they please so if you asked them to just adopt do you really think they'd get an abortion. Doubt it. yes that is alot of children and just think in 4 years if you decide you hate the chaotic mess with the 6 plus children and you don't like it at home then think of it this way you can move out. I also came from a big family with 7 kids and 3 of those kids my parents adopted they were my 2nd cousins then my brothers and my sister. I'd have to say you are very blessed to have so many siblings. And i hope you'll handle everything maturely and with confidence. Good Luck

Your 14 and you are in your moms and dads business of having children. As a parent of 4 boys, a women that loves children will stop at nothing to have a girl. A girl is very special to a women. Alls I can say is be there to help your mom as much as possible. She needs you as you are the oldest. Remember that how many children your mom and dad have, you should never say anything about how many she had, as a parent they know what they are doing and you when you get older will have a chance to say how many you have. good luck to your mom and hope you stick in there and help out.

Honestly, it's your parents choice. Unless they are being neglectful because they have too many kids to deal with, there is nothing wrong with them trying for more. I don't think it would hurt to bring up your concerns with them, if you have an open relationship, and suggest maybe they should consider adoption, but don't be pushy about it. It sounds like they really do want a girl, and they must not mind having a handful of kids!

Well honestly your parents are gonna do what they are gonna and if it means having 9 kids to have a girl then, that's what they want I guess. Although I would leave it in God's hands, or maybe they really wanted to have that many. Either way I think it's important to let them know how you feel, but respect what they choose.

You're lucky your parents are supportive, that's what you need the most right now. You can't change the past, what's happened has happened. All you can do now is make the best of a very bad situation. Whatever you do, make sure you continue your education somehow. You'll never get anywhere being a high school drop out with a kid. Just do the best you can do, and take your parents help and advice that they're willig to give. Don't let this happen to you again!! You'll have enough on your hands.
