20,000 leagues under the sea... Great plot and movie, but the book was filled with so much specimen collecting any supposed scientific studies it made for a very long read..

Ooh God, I'm going to be shot for this one, I love to read, I love sci-fi and fantasy, and I loved the Lord of the Rings movies, but man, those books drug on FOREVER! The movie was actually very very condensed. Couldn't stand the books. And here comes the hate mail...

Yeah...It's like Citizen Kane...great movie..but the damn thing is at the top of every "best of" list in the world...surely we've made something since then that comes close..
