You sister was using the word "phallic" and it refers to the penis or penis-like. You probably had alot of bananas, cucumbers, chilis, sausages, hot dogs, zucchini etc. in your kitchen.

Phallic: Any object that symbolically resembles a penis may also be referred to as a phallus; however, such objects are more often referred to as being phallic (as in "phallic symbol").
