Baking soda is outstanding at absorbing odor from just about anything from your fridge, to carpet, clothes, etc. Just put some on and let is sit for hours to days depending on how tough the odor.

yes it works for all kinds of things. I use it to keep the smell down in a litterbox. it helps ine frigie too.

It absorbs them. To go beyond that I do not know, except it works.
