what should i wear to a 50's dance?

(Ya i know i allready asked this question - but i want to hear peoples answers! Because they are all good! :) )
I just dont really want to wear a poodle skirt- cuz everyone else will!

Well, normally when people think of 50's you think of poodle skirt. You could wear medium wash jeans rolled up to your knee. wear a white fitted t-shirt. also hear are some pictures that would be good inspirations for costume ideas.
