I lost a note in history for trench system,?
Question Details: I lost a note in history for trench system, and I have a exam tommorrow and i just remembered and i went to try to find him at school today ,but he wasn't there.

What website can i see the trench system , the ones that you see for education. not the ones like (http://www.passmoresschool.com/hist... because i have to draw them, like the trenches that are drawn by pencil, for example there is No Man's Land :front line ; dugouts ; communication trench ; support.

so i need a diagram,

Christiano, you are inventive!
See answer 3, those are your basic elements.
Also consider that the trenches were not just at ground level. A recent development in Belgium discovered a trench system that was more or less a bunker. It went down at least 100 yards and included communications, sleeping quarters, an infirmary, etc.
Might get you extra points.

"Parapet" is the lip of the trench towards the enemy,
"Parados" is the lip away from the enemy
"Firestep" is the step you stand on to observe and fire upon the enemy. (the trench being deep enough to protect a standing man)
"duck boards" wooden planking on the floor of the trench to reduce the amount of mud being churned up.
"Sap" a small, shallow trench surreptitiously dug to enable closer observation of enemy positions.
