It is your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems' response to severe stress. You don't like conflict. You probably want to say something, but do not want to make the matter worse. Sometimes it is good to examine these moments and learn a more assertive but non-confrontational manner of managing them. Read on assertiveness training.

We are susceptible to feelings ot anxiety during stressful misunderstandings as you have with your boyfriend. The frustration you feel, especially if you're not winning a point, is prompting this reaction from you. This is not an uncommon feeling.
If it continues with your boyfriend(to have these frustrating issues) then you should evaluate if maybe you should give more thought to this relationship continuing. Sometimes it's our body trying to tell us something.
Good luck...bettyk

It is likely adrenaline in your body, or surges of it anyway. It gets you excited at the time (fight or flight) then leaves you feeling tired and cold.

you're not used to conflict and most times your mind can control what's going with your body. Just calm down, it's not the end of the world.
