After checking out the sites the others gave you, rent the movie THE ODYSSEY starring Armand Assante. It is wonderful, and even though it leaves out some details and episodes, you will get the flavor of it. It is tremendously enjoyable!

What's the problem? It's the story of Odysseus' wanderings after the Trojan War. Troy has been overcome, and Odysseus is trying to get back to Ithaca, his homeland, and his wife, Penelope. He & his crew meet up with many dangers and adventures along the way. Hope this helps.
