I know little about electronic stuff, and I am afraid to wash my laptop screen.

So, What can I safely wash my laptop screen with?
and what can I clean the finger mouse thing with, as my father used it with greasy hands?

Thanks!

PixelClean works wonders.

NEVER apply liquid directly onto any LCD screen. Ever.

I've found that a lens cloth works very well for my laptop and my iPod screen and the touchpad. Mine was $8 at For Eyes (don't get the disposable kind, but the actual cloth kind). They're a handy thing to have anyway for your camera or eyeglasses or whatever.
Failing that, a touch of rubbing alcohol applied to paper towel should work for your touchpad. Not so much for your screen.

Don't use windex. Some screens have an anti-glare coating on it that can be ruined by windex or other window cleaning products. Use a damp lint free cloth, or buy stuff that is made for cleaning lcd screens.

There are safe cleaners made by Fellowes etc.
Wipes in foil pouches, or liquid spray-bottles.
Try a business store like Staples/Business Depot.
Some are made for glass only, read the label.
You want something safe for plastics.

Cavaet Emptor:

As a technology consultant, I come across FILTHY computers, and I always spray a bit of Windex onto folder paper towels, and go nuts (so long as you don't spray directly onto the computer, or saturate the paper towels, you should be safe).

Cheers,
Sabot

Soft cloth + slightly damp = best.

Or buy screen cleaning cloth.

DO NOT wash with windex or lysol or anything - it WILL mess up the protective coating on an LCD screen.

i always just used a soft cloth and window cleaner like windex, you can buy actual wipes for that purpose, but ive never had any trouble with using glass cleaner, keeps you from having to buy the wipes and spend money when you dont have to.

you can take velvet or any cloth that will trap dust ( the glasses cleaning cloth) and wipe the screen with it
