hope you have a blank cheque mate, once did an audi a3, absolute nightmare!! you wouldnt beleive the things you have to change.. sell yours and buy one from germany..

You say you need to use your car overseas. Does that mean you will be going back to the UK and the left hand steering side? If so then don't even think about it. Not that it is particularly practical to even think about it. If you are going to live overseas then it may be that the local safety people would not accept it as being of standard.

To do the job properly you would need so many things to be changed that it would be ridiculous to even consider - new dash board with all the built in passenger side airbags, clocks etc, steering mechanisms and connections etc etc.

If you are going for a long time sell the car and get a proper one wherever you are going. If it is only for a visit, then learn to drive your car on the other side of the road and be very, very careful.

best advice!!! import a 2000 CLK i am quite sure it will be cheaper than altering your own ( once you have sold it and bought a left hand drive with the other )

Way to expensive, Would take allot of parts and work. Not worth it. Find a new car in the States.

No-one will carry out that type of work - it's not financially viable and there are grave safety implications. You are far better off buying a left-hooker instead.
