Ok here goes, I worked for a company for close to a year. I was seeing some things that were questionable, the environment was really laid back. In my third month working there I noticed one of the employees being unethical such as taking credit/sales that weren't his, coming in late, missing work alot, even taking inappropriate pics during company hours. I decided to put my two weeks in but was asked to stay and work another position, ONLY because I thought there would be change, I worked for close to another two months there and decided to finally just leave without giving my two weeks because each day was getting worse. I have always been taught to work honestly and hard for my money so when I didn't see anything being done AFTER my concerns were raised I left. Sometimes I wonder if I did the right thing. It feels almost like a breakup is there a reason that my old coworkers don't Keep in touch with me? I honestly thought I was doing the right thing.

Well, i would have done the same....first of all, i would have stayed there and continue looking for work. if get hired from another company, quit or give two weeks notice...
I would have stayed and slack off like everyone else...not to try to get fired..

you did do the right thing and dont let anybody tell you that you did 'nt . I would have done the same thing . obviously this place where you work has poor management and will go out of business if the management does not change . good luck and happy job hunting .

A job is not a family. It feels like it while you're there, but most people forget about coworkers who leave, not because they don't like them, just because it's too hard to keep up.

If it was something unbearable for you, you did the right thing.

Of course you did the right thing!
You needed to move on and you did which is more than most people can say!
You will feel better about yourself when you are in a better place with better co-workers.
Don't feel bad about leaving behind your co-workers. We all lose touch when we move on.

I would have done the same thing. If there are unappropiate things going on and the boss does nothing about it then leave.
