I lose my internet connection after about 10 minutes. If I restart, everything works great for another 10 minutes, and it's the same thing every time. I connect to a broadband modem through a LAN cable. There's nothing wrong with the cable or the modem. I tried connecting with another computer and it was fine for hours. I ran a virus scan and didn't find anything, either. I realize this is vague, but thought somebody might jsut happen to know what's going on.

Perhaps your network interface card has a defect or is loose. Download the latest firmware for the card from the maker's site. Remove the network card reinstall it and the driver.

If the network port is integrated in the motherboard, go to the computer maker's site and see if there is an updated driver for it as this may be the problem.

I have seen firmware defects cause this sort of problem.

have a nose in there , Take a look at any critical or error events, You may come across something thats crashing causing your internet to fail.
