I'm wondering because my mother is Asian and it's relevant to me because I'm in relationships more with Americans.

Why should she? She did not marry one. I do not think she is, but rather relieved he has finally settled down.

No one can be sure how she feels. Would like to add that my wife is asian and she is always telling my daughter that she needs to marry a nice asian man. But she has never made a comment to my son about marrying a asian women. Not real sure how serious she is about the comment.
