I like: Metro Station, The White Stripes, The Fratellis, Emily Haines, Bloc Party, The Strokes, Minus The Bear, The Pixies, Bright Eyes, Jeff Buckley, MIA, Modest Mouse, Muse, Neon Blonde, Beck, the Foundations (can't get enough of Build Me Up Buttercup), Jet, Michael Jackson, Pilate, Radiohead, The Spill Canvas & Blood Brothers.
Quite an array... but I'm looking for some new stuff to download around those lines. Maybe something different sounding?

I love all (or most of !) these bands and much more besides.
Neutral Milk Hotel. Brilliant band, inspirational for many artists such as Arcade Fire, Franz Ferdinand.
(try their 1997 record, In the Aeroplane over The Sea).

The Dresden Dolls, Coldplay, Regina Spektor, Arcade Fire are all good indie style bands/singers :)
