1. I have a labtop windows xp and its wireless, but i cant connect to the internet. I was wondering that it is maybe turned off. My cousin, I think turned it off? How do I turn it back on?I saw my cousin go to control panel and then I got lost, where do I go after control panel?
2. My other question is that I am going out the country for vacations and i am wondering if the internet would work outside the country? The internet i have is not dial-up it is DSL. Would it work?

In the control panel there is network connections. If he was in there very quickly, he probably disabled the connection. double click network connections and look for your wireless connection. If the status says disable just right click on it and select enable. if it does not just update your question with the status and I will see If I can give you other hints on what to look for such as making sure that it is set for obtain IP address automatically.


I doubt that your dsl will work in another country. the DSL is tied to your telephone line.You really could not connect is your neighbors house unless they subscribed to the same DSL that you do.

1. Via Network in Control Panel, there is a Wireless in Control Panel for SP2 version of XP; but that works for a different purpose.

2. What's "it"? Your laptop, assuming you got wireless back, can always be changed in its settings to work off some other Internet link in some other country that you have access to, this obviously enables Hot Spots to work.
