No. Fiscal Conservative does not equal selfish Conservative.

I guess in the simplest since the idea is that the government should just spend less, not what it should spend it on. If a fiscal conservative would stop and think for a moment, though, he'd realize that /what/ tax money is being spent on is even more important, the less of that money there is to go around.
Also, if you were being 'selfish' and just wanted to pay less taxes, you might be OK with deficit spending, since it doesn't raise your taxes. A Fiscal Conservative, OTOH, doesn't want much if any borrowing, which would mean a lot of cuts to spending before you could get around to cutting taxes.

Wanting lower taxes and controlled spending is not selfish by any stretch of the imagination.
Is 100% tax and any conceivable debt good? Why not? Is your answer selfish? Why not?
There's a balance point somewhere. Government must tax and must spend to accomplish certain goals. The debate is how much and what goals.

Fiscal conservatives believe in a smaller, more efficient government that fufills its constitutional mandate. That isn't "selfish" at all.

No. Im case you have been living in a cavce for the last few months, studies have found that it is liberals who tend to be more selfish. They are only generous with other people's money. This totally invalidates your question.
