How can I increase the Horsepower/Torque of my 2000 Mercury Cougar?

I'm planning on installing a Cold Air Intake...any other suggestions (not including Nitrous) are appreciated. Thanks.

Contour.org is the place you need for Cougar mods, at least for that model of Cougar, as it's basically a 2-door Contour.
