how to become a neo soul artisit ?

Ok. Keep in mind that I'm not a neo-soul artist, nor am I really a singer, but I like that genre of music. I'll give you advice on where I *think* you might find some success. Oh. I also don't live in Florida, so you might not want my advice at all. LOL.
You might want to find some poetry circles...like ones that meet at coffee houses or something. In between poets, they might showcase some musicians and if there was any perfect spot for a neo-soul singer, it's at a poetry event.
You might also want to check out some jazz spots and see if they might host a neo-soul night or something like that.
And finally, you might want to contact a local R&B radio station to see if they know of any places that showcase NS music.
