"Bar Skanks Announce Plans to Kiss"
Hilarious Onion article about a real phenomenon. What do you think of it? (The article and the phenomenon of straight female friends kissing and dancing together to get male attention and drinks.) Do you think they're really bi and in denial? Making things harder for you and your girlfriend? Just plain stupid?

Carora, don't worry. Maybe I should have been clearer. The Onion is a satire magazine; everything is made up. It's just that they stick so close to the truth that people get mixed up (I have had their articles forwarded to me as truth!)

I can't stand girls/women like that. For two reasons:
Firstly because when I do tell people I am bisexual that is the immediate image they get in their mind. They associate that kind of behavior with bisexuals. And no, I don't think these girls are bisexuals in denial, I think they are straight chicks just trying to get men's attention.
Secondly, I don't like it because I've had straight women come up and flirt with me who don't really have any interest in me, they just want to make their boyfriend jealous. That pisses me off.

Straight male view; I've seen this loads, I think it's just a big attention thing. I suppose some of the girls might be closet bi or lesbian, but most of the ones I've encountered doing this had long term boyfriends, who were often among the people they were trying to wind up. It's just drunk girls out for attention, trying to be the 'sexy' caricature that they think men want to see. A great many guys are just a bit embarrassed by this sort of behaviour. Great to see this phenomenon being mocked though!

Well I used to go to bars about 10 years ago, and yes there used to be skanks like this there. I actually found these trollops to be quite pathetic, the fact that they have to make out with their friend for attention is pretty sickening. I doubt they are really bi, they just think that two girls is every guys fantasy and they are attention whores.

They are immature kids, trying to get attention. They are stupid. Some might be bi,who knows. Most are just wanting more attention, like the ones who dress like skanks.

I'd kinda like to think that my 15 minutes of fame (the one Andy Warhol promised) would be for something a little more interesting and appealing than a fake kiss for attention.

Garden variety immature ho skank idiots. They're all over the place. Anyone that I'd be interested in would be nowhere near them, so they're no competition for me.
If the guys and other idiot girls want them, they can have 'em.
I prefer women with a bit more maturity, thank you very much. But I must admit that I did my own bunch of dumbass things when I was in my 20's......

If it gets them the attention they are looking for they will do it. In my youth it was common to see two girls giving a peck on the lips. A passionate deep throat kiss was not common. You can do almost anything when your in play.

Y'know, I get mixed emotions about that sort of thing. While some do feel it is degrading and such, it's not any worse than women who work in "gentleman's clubs"....when you think about it, who's more "wrong", those that do things like this or the males that fall all over themselves to watch?
