The Florida A&M University Marching 100!!!!!

They're the only band that I know of to play at the French Bastille Day Parade, two president inauguration parades, be labeled by Sports Illustrated as the "Best Marching Band in the Nation", play at the 2006 Grammy's with Kanye West, and the 2007 Super Bowl with Prince, etc.

"Under the direction of Dr. William P. Foster, the "Marching 100" was invited by the French government to participate in the Bastille Day Parade as the official representation from the United States. The "Marching 100" was labeled as the "Best Marching Band in the Nation" by Sports Illustrated in August 1992 and performed in the 52nd and 53rd Inauguration Parades in Washington D.C. at the invitation of then President-Elect Bill Clinton. Members of the band also took part in the 2006 Grammy Awards performing alongside Jamie Foxx and Kanye West. On February 4, 2007, the "Marching 100" was featured with Prince in the Super Bowl XLI half-time show in Miami, Florida."

What a bunch of HOMERS. I should say Nebraska, but we're talking band, not the football team.
In reality, USC's Trojans are probably the band that comes to everyone's mind, if they are truly honest with themselvs.
I'd also rank Ohio State near the top, but not at the top. Just because you can spell out o-h-i-o doesn't a great band make.

Well the best band in college football belong's to the Ohio State University. There is so much tradition at that school. I love it when they spell out OHIO on th field and then the traditional dotting of the "i" at the end. It is an amazing sight.
